History: The brothers Isaac & Sydney Herber arrived in the Black Hills from mining interests in Georgetown CO in the 1890s. They settled NW of Custer and created the Herber U2 ranch and the Saginaw Gold Mine, at one time, encompassing over 700 acres and an impressive gold mining operation employing dozens. The mine closed in the 1920s, Sydney's son Harrison & wife Rose Herber kept a small acreage with many of the original mining relics. Their daughter Brenda Herber Gompert and husband Gary are Trustees with the mission to sell this 5 generation family operation of over 130 years.

We accept cash, check, or credit card (Visa, Master Card, Discover and American Express) 3.75% swipe fee on credit card payments.
Cash and check payments accepted on settlement day during scheduled hours. After that time, only payment by credit card will be accepted.
Wiring instructions can be provided upon request and all wire transfers will be assessed a $10 fee.
All vehicle titles held up to 10 business days from close of bidding. $10 doc fee per bidder for titled vehicles. 10 day holding period and doc fee waved for cash payment made in person during scheduled settlement.
South Dakota sales tax charged on all items except titled vehicles.
If you have a tax-exempt license, you must have a current (within the preceding 12 calendar months) South Dakota Certificate of Exemption form on file with Bradeen Auctions or sales tax will be collected. Be prepared to fill one out at checkout. If you cannot attend the settlement in person you will need to print, fill out completely, sign, & mail the following form.

No refunds for tax collected if Certificate of Exemption form received after the scheduled settlement. Please plan accordingly.
You must contact Bradeen Auctions by phone, email, or in person during the scheduled onsite settlement if payment is other than the credit card used for registration.
You authorize Bradeen Auctions to charge your credit card if no contact has been made by the end of the scheduled settlement. Please note the buyer will also be responsible for a 3.75% credit card transaction fee, and handling/storage fees incurred by Bradeen Auctions.
Property Settlement & Pickup: All items must be settled for and picked up Friday, May 14th between 10:00am & 3:00pm at the Harrold & Judy Bies Location: 23138 Radar Hill Rd. (5 mi. east of RC on Hyw 44, 1 ¼ mi. north on Radar Hill Rd.). After payment, any items may be picked up with a paid receipt at the Bies location and the Carlin location: 2452 Carlin St., (2 mi. east of RC on Hyw 44, left on Longview Rd for 1.5 mi., Left on Carlin St. ½ mile. No Exceptions.
Cash and check payments accepted on settlement day during scheduled hours. After that time, only payment by credit card will be accepted.
NO SHIPPING and No transportation of goods available for this auction.
*ADDITIONAL NOTE* Buyer must take possession of all items no later than Friday, May 14th, 2021 unless alternate arrangements have been made. If the buyer has not taken possession of all items by this time, the property will be considered abandoned and ownership will revert back to the seller. At the discretion of Bradeen Auctions, any bidders who fail to pay in full (including additional fees), or who abandon any items may have their bidding privileges revoked.
As a successful bidder, it will be your responsibly to remove all your items by the given dates. Please plan accordingly and bring the necessary assistance and vehicles/trailers required to load and haul your items.
All items must be paid in full prior to loading. You will be required to provide a copy of your paid in full receipt before you will be allowed to remove any items from the property.
