The Tin Mountain mine, a rare element granite pegmatite mine, is situated on 24.75 prime timbered acres with a pond in the beautiful Black Hills, 7 miles west of Custer, South Dakota. The property is surrounded by National Forest land. This 24.75 acre Tin Mountain Mine property consists of three contiguous mining lode claims: The Empire Load Mining Claim No. 552; The Tin Mountain Lode Mining Claim No. 553; and The Fractional Tin Lode Mining Claim No. 554, all located in Sec. 35, T3S, R3E, Black Hills Meridian, Custer County, SD. The Tin mountain mine features a large mined cavern with a wide variety of exposed minerals. There are several piles containing mineral ore from the mine on this 24.75 acre property as well.
Tin Mountain is a family owned mine, having been in the Chord Family since 1964. The late Donald R. Chord Sr. & and his wife, Joyce L. Chord, primarily ranched in the area, and allowed only a minimal amount of mining under their ownership, mostly gravel & Mica sales from the mineral bearing ore piles.
Tin Mountain contains a large variety of minerals. It has been studied extensively, drawing geologists from all over the United States and different parts of the world to study its unique formation and mineral content. Many articles have been written about Tin Mountain. Geology professors and students, especially from the School of Mines and Technology of Rapid City, South Dakota, have participated in field studies at Tin Mountain, accumulating a wealth of information and writing large quantities of research. Tin Mountain Mine was also the subject of investigation and exploration as part of a geological survey done for the United States Atomic Energy Commission, in 1963. Auctioneers Note: The diversity of minerals is what makes the Tin Mountain Mine unique from any other mine. The location, pond, timber, seclusion and natural beauty offered is also relevant. The Chord family has chosen the auction method of marketing, giving all a fair and equal opportunity to own this sought after property. This is certainly a unique and desirable investment property. Inspect this interesting and exciting property, have arrangements secured and be prepared to bid auction day!

---ONLINE BIDDING---
During live webcast bidding, bids recognized by the Auctioneer take precedence over all other bids. Due to the slight time delay (1-3 seconds) inherent in live online bidding, it is not uncommon for the Auctioneer to recognize a live floor bidder over an online bidder if both bids are placed simultaneously. In the event this does occur, the floor bidder recognized by the Auctioneer is forced into the winning position and the online bidder will no longer be recognized as the winning bidder at that price. The online bidder will then be required to bid the new asking price amount to move into the winning position. Bid Early So You Don't Miss Out!
Please take time to read the terms and conditions for this auction before placing any bids.
